The Doshma

Doshma is an architecture of change, it is a physical representation of an event, an architecture that speaks of a condition that took place during a certain moment, Doshma therefore is a built structure defined primarily by the nature of the time that first conceived it. Doshma is built entirely on assets found locally, it is an architecture that adapts to the nature of things inflicted upon it, an environment altered according to one’s need, an alternation of different views, it is a place that is a witness to the episode, which still continues, a podium where artist, designer’s and poets become thinkers. It is a façade to the external social environment, a viewing platform from which creative studies are undertaking, with hope of creating a better home.

Doshma was selected to be one of the 42 projects that was discussed during the event of Archmarathon in Beirut, Lebanon October 8-10 /2015 …. Read more

Building The Doshma

The idea of Doshma was born to defy construction and engineering theories, an idea which was inspired by the Libya Design office with architects Walid El Turki and Muftah Abudajaja and which Hudhud Real Estate Investment and Construction Company realized through the construction phase.
The building construction is from the use of simple materials such as iron, aluminum and concrete. It required continuous harmony between both the architects and the contractor and in spite of all the difficulties that faced the idea since the beginning of its rise until the completion of the project; the results exceeded expectations. Therefore, as an executor I believe that the implementation phase of the project is one of the most wonderful practical stages which I personally gained during the implementation of this project.

EXHIBITION

Haderza Mensia, which translates as the ‘Forgotten Chatter’ in the local Arab dialect, is Noon Arts second major exhibition, sponsored by the German Embassy in Tripoli, Libya and in collaboration with UNICEF. It took place from 15-24 June 2013.
This special ten-day event will bring the work of twelve artists as they contemplate today’s post-Revolution Libya. It is a conversation between them that reflects on the status of the country. The collection of powerful imagery is made up of photography, paintings, sculptures and film; and much of it will be seen here for the very first time. Its purpose is to explore the hidden side of human nature and to show the worry and concern these artists feel for their beloved country’s future.

ADN School

Adn school of design is dedicated to exploring unseen realms in art and design, it nurtures and in-spires students to think, investigate and envision words and knowledge. Adn enables learners to first observe, then think and explore and finally develop philosophical works of art. The work and knowledge generated at Adn school of design is driven primarily by the study of words and the meanings of literature and by extracting the underlying creative work found within it. Through the use of literature, an art form that is far unique and more profound than any other, it therefore leaves every small detail to be concluded by the brain, resulting in the physical manifestation of pure imagination.
